History of Partnership with Sunway Developments

Hoi Hup Realty and Sunway Developments first forged a strategic partnership for their first joint venture project in 2007, marking the beginning of a fruitful collaboration. Over the past 14 years, this dynamic duo has embarked on an impressive journey, successfully developing 15 projects together, including the iconic The Continuum, which boasts over 8,000 residential units.

Their initial encounter occurred when both companies were determined to make a significant impact on Singapore’s real estate market. Hoi Hup Realty’s development team was introduced to Sunway Developments through its sister company, Straits Construction, which had engaged Sunway as a subcontractor on multiple occasions. Recognizing their shared aspirations for taking on larger projects, they decided to pool their resources and expertise in a joint venture.

In June 2007, the joint venture comprising Hoi Hup Realty, Sunway Concrete Products, and Oriental Worldwide Investments secured a prized DBSS site on Boon Keng Road, ultimately giving rise to City View @ Boon Keng. The success of this venture spurred them to continue their collaboration, leading to the development of other notable projects, including the 1,203-unit The Peak @ Toa Payoh completed in 2012, and the 682-unit Lake Vista @ Yuan Ching in 2015.

Following the suspension of DBSS in 2011, the partnership shifted its focus to executive condominiums or ECs, catering to the needs of the sandwiched class – those with household incomes above the HDB income ceiling but unable to afford private property. Their joint effort resulted in remarkable EC projects like the 628-unit Rivercove Residences in Sengkang and the 531-unit Hundred Palms Residences in Yio Chu Kang. More recently, they have launched Parc Central Residences in Tampines and Parc Canberra in the new Canberra neighbourhood, further solidifying their presence in the EC market.

While excelling in public housing endeavours, Hoi Hup and Sunway have also expanded their portfolio with prestigious private condominium developments, including the highly sought-after Ki Residences at Sunset Way. With its 660 units and 999-year leasehold, Ki Residences became the first new launch in the residential enclave in two decades, setting a new benchmark for excellence.
